Top hp

Just wondering who is running high HP. Wondering what mods you have done and what numbers you are getting at the crank on the dyno?

Best numbers Ive seen at the wheels on a dyno (not me):
Mods so far are Hahn intercooler and piping, K&N intake kit (thats the filter intake pipe and lid for the air box), GM stage kit and then HP tuners... 299 hp and 386 tq

Most people haven't dynoed their cars yet. I really wish I would have dynoed before I started mods. I hate guessing on gains.

I will do a Before and after HP Tuner tune Dyno. The guy thats going to do it expects another 20 WHP gain. We'll see.

I wish I had dyno'ed my SS, before I installed the free flowing muffler, and installed the Trifecia tune.
Vince at Trifecia, said to expect around 50HP, and after driving the tune for a week and a half, and wringing her out[a lot-it's so much fun!], I can believe a 50 HP gain. Being a ole ex racer, and being real subjective about HP and torque gains thats advertised, I can believe it.
This puppy will blow the tires at anything under 50mph, with traction control on, and pulls so much harder than stock. No dyno's close by, but in a couple of months, will try and dyno HP, that I have now. I know it's a bunch.
I've ridden in a Stage 1 tune, and I can tell mine pulls a lot harder[no joke].
Seeing a steady 24lbs boost[as per my instructions to vince]. Using stock piping and did'nt want to blow the piping up.
I'm real happy with what I got. Already handed a couple of guys their ass, including a buddy of mines new Camero[up to around 90mph, from a 40 mph rolling start]. He was impressed, and said " I could hear your tires spinning as you blew by me]. This is no fairy tale folks. Every time I drive her, I get this Shi-ing eating grin, when I jump on it. I see tires in my future.
Thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. "Moon"

I put up 257whp and 281tq on the dyno last summer. I know these numbers were low because this mobile dyno was a POS and it was out in the rain.

This was on an 08 SS LSD 5-speed with the GMPP Stage1 w/ no other mods.

My best track time is in my sig below.(very little track experience on stock tires)

I am by no means "top HP", but this may provide a baseline for others.

I believe CrazySteve has run the fastest 1/4 mile in a HHR SS that I've seen, 13.11. He doesn't list his Dyno numbers though.

Ya, I will get right on that!

I never claimed to be speed racer, just offering up my baseline.

I am sure I could see 13's with better tires.

I have also changed out my intake and exhaust since the last time I went to the track, so maybe in the spring I will install the roll cage.

09 SS w/ automatic tranny, GM Turbo upgrade w/ Hahn DP and exhaust here. My dyno sheet + vid's are in my gallery but IIRC I put down 260ish hp and 250 lbs/tq at the wheels in my only dyno run. It seemed like there was more power to be put down, but I couldn't fully figure out how to have them run it on the dyno without the TC kickin in in Comp. Mode. If you're looking for Crank HP, that varies w/ the dyno and weather conditions the day you dyno the car. Crank HP is always more than wheel HP due to drivetrain losses.. Crank HP figures typically add anywhere from 18% to as much as 25% over what you have at the wheels (again depewnding on the type of dyno + weather conditions), but the important number is what's produced at the wheels since THAT'S what gets you scootin' down the road quickly!
