This puppy will blow the tires at anything under 50mph, with traction control on, and pulls so much harder than stock. No dyno's close by, but in a couple of months, will try and dyno HP, that I have now. I know it's a bunch.
I've ridden in a Stage 1 tune, and I can tell mine pulls a lot harder[no joke].
Seeing a steady 24lbs boost[as per my instructions to vince]. Using stock piping and did'nt want to blow the piping up.
I'm real happy with what I got. Already handed a couple of guys their ass, including a buddy of mines new Camero[up to around 90mph, from a 40 mph rolling start]. He was impressed, and said " I could hear your tires spinning as you blew by me]. This is no fairy tale folks. Every time I drive her, I get this Shi-ing eating grin, when I jump on it. I see tires in my future.
Thats my story, and I'm sticking to it. "Moon"
moon send me a copy of that hhr ss logo please. is it yours

I never claimed to be speed racer, just offering up my baseline.

I am sure I could see 13's with better tires.

I have also changed out my intake and exhaust since the last time I went to the track, so maybe in the spring I will install the roll cage.

SPPD
Which exhaust did you go with and what do you think of it?
You need to update your sig to reflect...

Steve, just to be clear, is this actual power to the wheels?

It would have to be at the wheels, seeing as the Stock rating for a HHR SS is
260 hp.

SPPD, not knockin' or yappin' your #'s! All this just adds to the crap that I throw at one of my older brothers 'bout these little hotrods. He doesn't believe the SS is able to out run most of his mid 60's muscle car collection. I personally have out ran his 65 Nova with a zz4 block, chopped rear blah blah blah. (Yea the one I'm tryin' to buy from him) the comment 'bout the bar....you know.....track officials etc.....And d@mn, ya'll puttin' down some good quarter times for a station wagon.

I put down 245WHP/261WTQ bone stock. After the GM Turbo upgrade kit I put down 278WHP/297WTQ. This weekend I am getting tuned and dynoing again and I will post up my new #s.

HHRSouth, I was just clearing things up to make sure we were all on the same page...

The ADVERTISED rating is 260, but Steve's stock output is way below what would be expected from 260hp at the crank with the high efficiency we have on our cars. I would have expected to see more like 240hp to the wheels, but it is dependent on the type of dyno used as well as other factors...

Also, couldn't remember if Steve's was manual or auto. The autos are much less stock...

Nice, looking forward to the comparison. You getting HPT over the GM stage or Trifecta?

Someone from the local Club DSM is scheduling a 4 hour block at ESP in Sterling, Mass at the end of the month.

I'll see if they can hook me up for a couple of runs.
