That being the case, the 150-155 limitations are probably aero issues. I believe that setting governors to OEM tire speed ratings would be for liability factors.
but when i got new tires the guys at discount tire told me that the stock tires are h rated (130)

Around 125 MPH trying to outrace a rain shower coming towards near Pecos TX. I had just washed and waxed it so I didn't want to get it wet.

My '09 SS came with the Mich Pilots (91W) stamped on the tire. 91 being load range, W being speed rating. Check your 'Tire and load rating' sticker inside the door jamb. This sticker is located low on the pillar (not the door) just above the rocker. It should show the size followed by the 'letter' rating. That sticker indicates what tire the vehicle was built with.

HPT logged 122 in 4th the other day. I was running out of road, so couldn't go to 5th and stretch it out. Like bartSS, I overwrote the stock governor value... however, I replaced it with 999, which means that my car will go slightly more than twice as fast as his.

I've seen 125 in the SS, and 150 on the 675......I doubt I'll try and see if the SS can match the bike.

I might test her out a little bit on my drive home for the Holidays. The I-44 toll road through Oklahoma is long, flat, straight and generally empty of the 5-0. I think some of it's been recently repaved too. I've hit 110 as the highest so far I think. Not so worried about the safety or control issues, mostly just don't want a million dollar ticket and court date in the BFE, Oklahoma. I've only made it up to 95 on the bike - it's weird how 95 in the car feels faster than 95 on the bike. Maybe I'm too busy thinking "don't die don't die don't die" on the bike to appreciate the speed...
