It's to let you know that the flux capacitor is charging and ready for light speed!

Actually I haven't noticed anything like that but I have noticed that mine doesn't read correctly, dealer has a new one on order they are still diagnosing my problems.

Yep, mine does it when the car is idling. Once I start driving it stops. This leads me to believe its not getting enough juices. I was gonna take it back to the dealership once Chevy figured out what was wrong.

Mine does not flicker, but I have a large capacitor across the battery for the sub, so that might have something to do with it. The actual function is another question though. Mine only works about 10% of the time, otherwise just stuck at 5 psi. The dealer has 2 on order, since there are two part numbers and we could not figure out the difference, and there are no part numbers on the guage. The pillar does have a part number label that looks like it woul dbe the whole assy, but it is for just the plastic.

Darn, with as erratic as these guages seem, maybe we ought to junk them for a conventional boost/vac guage operated mechanically, a tubing line run to the intake manifold. For all we know, Chevy is programming them to read higher boost than actual, just to make us feel faster. (could be done, something to think about, tuners could accomplish the same trickery) kinda like some tuners on Corvettes don't correct the tables that compute fuel economy when tuning for larger injectors. It can make you read higher economy readings than actual.

Mine has the flicker, but I've noticed that it only does it with the interior lights at the highest level. If I dim them just slightly, it goes away completely. Mine is also only at idle as well.

I notice a flicker in the boost gauge only when I first turn on the car. It flickers twice. I thought this was annoying, so I feel for those who have a constant flicker.

Good luck, hopefully the fixes go well.
