Waste gate dump

Any aftermarket offerings for a waste gate dump utilizing the internal waste gate on the k04. I had 1 on my 91 Galante vr4 and while it did nothing for performance, man did it sound cool when in boost

You could also check with Forge Motorsports.
Several members on this site have installed their aluminum BPV. Forge should carry a BOV to fit your needs.
Going with a BOV you'll need a tune. The aluminum BPV ( I have one installed) doesn't need a tune.

I would think that anything you do that dumps metered air to atmosphere, before the oxygen sensors, would require a tune.

Unless I was getting a tune anyway, for performance reasons, I would find something better to spend my money on. Just my .

what I'm referring to is also known as a screamer pipe. Instead of recirculating the exhaust air through the downpipe when the wastegate is open, it dumps it to atmosphere

BPV- ByPass Valve
BOV- Blow Off Valve (releases excess pressure into the atmosphere.)

Never heard the term screamer pipe. Was just giving you my 2 cents worth in my 1st post.

This modification bypasses not only the o2 sensors, but also the catalytic convertor(s). This is a violation of California emissions laws, and probably noise ordinances. For liability reasons, we cannot officially advise you to do this.

Nope, unless you're operating your SS off road, say time attack or drag racing. We can't recommend anything like the pipe your speaking of.
I'll leave the thread open for discussion purposes only.
