I agree with Danko ! Did the math on the diference between my HHR/SS and the all electric Tango or Telsa and I would have own / drive the Tango for about 65 years !! Thats just the gas alone based on $4.00 a gallon at a low of 25 mpg ! I'm already 60 years old and if I'm lucky like my dad and am able to drive til I'm 90 I'll be happy . I don't think I'll make it to 125 years old driving to get pay back on the all electric Tango or Telsa !!! I may consider converting my other S10 ( the SS ) to electric someday if kit quality and batteries improve. That is if gas prices go even further wacko !--o6designs-KATZUP

I just bought my 2008 HHR SS 5 minutes ago. Should see it in a couple of days. (black, ebony interior, LSD, Sun and Sound Package, XM Satellite)

I'm trading in my 1992 GMC Jimmy with 420,000 on the odometer for $750. Thats $250 more than I paid for it three years ago.

Nothing works on it except the 4.3L vortec, but it's plated and insured, so they'll take it under the 'used car heaven' program.

Now that's what I call an economy car-if you broke even or made money on the vehicle and got to drive it a few years too !!!That's hard to do often !--o6designs--KATZUP

2004 GTO. Really like the car, wanted something different, something more "useable" and I have too many cars, can't keep them all, sure would love to though . . . .

07 Silverado Crew 2LT 2WD. Wife's truck. Had an SS Cobalt a couple years back when they first came out and thought we would try this. A little slower than the balt, but with time we will change that!

2006 Scion tC. Loved the car in pretty much every way, except the fact that the paint had been pretty much royally raped by keyings on both sides, rocks to the hood, and hail in a couple small places. That, and having had it for three years, it was just getting too familiar to me. I get pretty fickle with cars pretty quickly, so I decided it was time to move on to something bigger and more powerful.

I had a 2006 VW Jetta TDI that was getting 41 MPG! I have been driving Diesels for the last 15 years! I sold the 2 year old Jetta for 2000 more than I paid for this 2008 HHR SS! It gets 1/2 the fuel mileage that the Jetta got!!
However, I can Carry the dogs! Haul trash to the Dump! Move some furniture.....and I love the retro look and the power....... So I don't really miss the VW......although I still have 2 VW Passat TDI's........

I posted earlier in this thread that I traded in a Dodge Magnum RT with Hemi engine for my 2008 HHR 2LT with AA5 option...

... but I traded my 2008 HHR 2LT with AA5 option for my 2008 HHR SS.
