- Electromechanical liftgate opening. Monkeys design to open it if you don´t have Battery power.

- Battery location.

- Crappy front suspension components.

- Crappy OEM Tires.

- OEM Audio System.

I've never owned a car that didn't have something I didn't like, whether the list price was $65,000, or $28,000.

The thing about the HHR SS is to enjoy it while you got it, because I don't think we'll see anything at it's price, performance and utility ever again.

I'm still amazed that I can load it down with two large cinema kits and grip, still have half the cargo room empty and cruise through the desert at 105mph without breaking a sweat, also while getting 22 mpg.

It's a love hate car, but it's unique and in the world of lookalike crossovers, sedans and the new low powered medium sized cars, I find it a refreshing change.

IMO

What I hate most, is how long it took me to discover them, by the time I found it they quit making them. It's the bestest sales vehicle ever.

Agree. They would make a facelift and still selling it.

I didn't see any one mention the horn. It sucks. Sounds like a dying giraffe. I just changed it to a dual Gm horn from a 02 Impala I got from the junk yard. Best 10 buck mod ever.

I'm only 6'2, and my head scrapes the raised edge of the sunroof constantly. I have the optional "racing" seat, and I've heard it was higher. My main *****es are having to duck down to see overhead traffic lights, and the crappy 4-spd A/T. I can't say enough bad about this slushbox, and it's bad gearing combo. Can you say, "what boost"? Or rampant TQ steer when the tires break loose at about 40 mph... Handling is fun, but the rear suspension is extremely harsh. Yeah I know it could have been optioned different, but any turbo models should have come prepared for the added power, especially after the factory stg.1 kit.

^ Hey, you're from Jeremy Bonderman's hometown!

I miss that guy with playoffs going on here in Detroit. Hope he's doing OK.

The sunroof is low. I'm only 5'8", and my hair gets all staticked (sp?) up from the roof. I have heard that the TTR motor mount helps with that torque-steer issue in the AT models, but it should have been better as-delivered.

What tires did you have on your SS? I ask because Pilot Sport 2's are hardly crap.

Seemingly my one gripe so far, I've only owned mine a few months, is the seat position in the front is a little high. I'm tall, so if the seat was lower it would make for better driving position
