What "sold" you on a HHR SS ?
I first thought the HHR was made in the US till I was told it was made in Mexico. Number one reason to buy was the gas mileage. The wife is out of the Yukon and the difference in gas bills will make 2/3 of the payment on the HHR.
0% financing
the tC was getting kind of beatup (not my fault, either...sad)
utility - people/cargo room
hatchback - I've become addicted to them.
turbo
decent gas mileage/power/size ratio
I agree with jerssey - I like "different" looking cars. People kept telling me to look at say, the Mazdaspeed 3, the VW GTI, Civic SI, etc. but you see those everywhere. I've only seen one other SS on the road so far.
Only regret is going for a black one over a red. Couldn't find a red in the area that had everything I wanted, and black was my next option. Still love the way the black looks, especially with my new tints, but good god it's always so dirty.

Wasn't sold on the HHR initially, bought a Honda Civic. Then when it was time to trade in my beloved Firebird, they had no HHR's on the lot at any dealership save one and all he had was the SS. After driving it, I was sold. The 0% plus 2K in rebates from a GM card sealed the deal.
Love the car, love the style, love the mileage (when I'm not in the turbo) love the room and versatility.
Thought I was going to really miss my firebird...that was until I put my foot down. Bye-bye.
Gave my wife the Civic.

First off, was the blacked out grill
when i saw the pics of one the first time.
Then i checked into the specs on it,and pretty much sold me when i read the reviews of it.
Found one in a local dealership, got the greenlight from my chief financial officer(wife), got it dealertraded to my fav dealership (used to work @ it) signed the papers.First time i drove one was backing it out of the showroom, tho i sat in a "regular" one prob a yr prior.

Saw it in Spring 05 in Oakland, CA
Said, that's my next car.
The looks of it 'sold me'.
Didn't drive one until 5.30 pm on 8.31.07 when I went to go look at the one my dealer was holding for me.
Blackie was in my driveway 2 hours later...
Happy birthday to me!
Gosh do I love this car.
