I did not know about the detune but had to get an auto for the wife. I would think when they come out with a tune for the auto, it will address this problem. I know there was some safe guards put in to the tranny for my Typhoon, and when the guys got around them they started blowing them up. The auto I took out for the test drive was fast, now I want to try a manual.

 

I agonized over my choice.........I am still torn on my decision but I can't go back.....
I love how quick the stick is! But was very tired of shifting gears over the years........and I had to have an arm rest!
So I ended up with the Auto.........

 

I traded my 04 turbo beetle vert for the SS..... VW turbo = 150 hp That piece of garbage cost me 2700$ since January on electronics repair everything from air bag sensors to window regulators and anti lock brake issues all the time the dealer was laughing at my wife saying we can sell you an extended warrante. Those FU**ERS upon picking it up the last time she stormed into the home office jumped on the net & found a dealer with her now new SS. Skipped dinner that night and headed to the dealer. They just prepped it and put it on the show room floor 2 mi on the clock....Hehehe The dealer only sold 2 cars that friday so I got a smokin deal + GM 0% financing is like finding money . Wanted that car with 5spd/sunroof but none were available within a reasonable transfer so auto/no sunroof WIFE me dealer well who gives a crap Well now I'm glad to be here.......
