White SS Emblem
Figured this would be the best thread to throw this in....can someone, who still has the door "SS" badges on, please measure for me where the leading edge (the closest to the ground, the closest to the front of the car) of the SS badge is to be located.
I have previously debadged with the thought of doing something different...today's that day I am going to figure out if its going to work or go back to the stock badge or not, but I need the location of where the stock badges where.
Thanks!

2" over from the 'fender crease'
1.5" up from the 'lower door crease'
Hope this makes sense

Thanks for the response. Not being the patient type, I went ahead and eyeballed it and did it myself.
Did the driver's side, and when I got to the passenger side, I noticed the tiny mark the dealer had left when I asked them to pry it off originally. Wasn't quite where I had lined the other side up, but no more then 3/4 of an inch out.
My original plan wasn't going to work (dremel off posts of a 67'ish Nova quarter panel emblem (the emblem is almost the exact same height, and width as the current door "SS" emblems....probably not by coincidence) and double side tape it to the doors.
In the end, wasn't sold on the look, and, not altogether confident in all the trimming and fussing over the bits and size and shape of double sided tape needed to do it.
So, rettached the stock "SS"'s, now with black decals. The "Turbocharged" emblem is now also back on the back hatch.

I know this is a old thread but I was wondeirng if there was some trick to getting the white off the SS. I already broke 2 nails trying to do this, and some minor blood loss, and I only got maybe 1cm by 3 cm of it off.
If it is something that is going to take me 3-4+ hours I would rather just buy the overlays for it.

I did this before I put the black inserts on mine. It looks great and I carefully used an xacto knife to remove mine. It would look alot better on any other color except my silver imo.
Sunflowerhippi,
Removing the white overlays litteraly took me 5 minutes. Getting all the adhesive off and polishing took another 10-15 minutes. Hope this helps!!!

Okay then I don't know what is up with mine. It is all dry and cracking as I try to peel it off.
Do you think trying to heat it up would help?
Your's is newer being a 2010, so my emblems have been stuck on for a bit longer, not sure if that is the problem.

I wouldn't use heat as you can take off the whole emblem pretty quick. Using a hairdryer on the middle heat setting on low took off the HHR within a couple of seconds. Just take your time not to scratch the surface underneath. Maybe someone else has another solution?
