If you bought an HHR to go fast, I worry about you. If you bought an HHR to us as an RV, I worry about you. I bought mine because I like the looks, roof racks, no roof racks, running boards, no running boards. So how ever you purchased your HHR. PLEASE just enjoy it. Its a cool little car that can fill alot of very different needs.

you must do a lot of worrying then. I think a lot of guys on here are getting an HHR b/c it looks cool AND goes fast and in a pinch can work like a small RV.

I ordered mine without the rack and no sunroof either (if I wanted open air I'd got for a spin in the wife's flathead powered open wheeled roadster).

If the wife and I want to go camping we'll use her Avalanche.

Build date on my SS is the week of Feb 4.

Got mine WITH the roof rack because you never know when you'll be speeding by a Home Depot at full boost and you suddenly lock up all four ABS-ed disc binders because you realize you need a dozen 8ft 2X4s for a weekend project....

but I thought you could put the passenger seat down and carry the same load inside the car...

In fact isn't the inside designed to hold full sheets of drywall or plywood?

No way, not if you are talking about the standard 4'x8' sheets. Maybe if you folded the drivers seat down too Actually it would probably still be too narrow.
I measured the floor behind the rear seats for a mat, I got 34" deep x 37" wide. Im guessing folding the rear seats brings it to about 60"x37".

My only practical use of our roof racks is to help my short butt hold on while washing the top. I do wish we wouldn't have got them, but if and when I get a SS definately NO rack.

BTW....Is that ANDEAN the one in Cumming, GA?
