At 6'0 I reached the center of the roof while washing mine last Sunday morning. Never used the roof rack but I have on my van. I wouldn't have ordered the rack but it was on the car. Since the rack a mat black on a black car it dosen't look too bad, if it was chrome it would be butt ugly. The sunroof already breaks up the smooth roof line.

I am strongly considering a HHR SS for the wife. When we go places together, we usually take her car and I drive. I have a fun, fast, but gas sucking Trailblazer SS. The HHR SS seems perfect for me, I mean her. And, if I end up with one with roof bars, I'm taking the SS emblems off and putting LT emblems on and hope to suprise even more people.

Roof Rack

My wife's 2LT has a roof rack and it looks nice, but not terribly functional....more like chrome trim. My "old" HHR (2006 2LT) has no rook rack and it like it that way. Makes the overall car look lower. My new HHR SS that I got yesterday was one I ordered in October, and it has no roof rack. IMO, I would never want a roof rack on a HHR SS.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind. Not really an introduction section here, unless I missed it.

Mine has a roof rack, Black, didn`t really need or necessarily want it, but it does add a little something to the appearance.
I`ll live with it, even if it scrubs a little speed off .

Question: Do the roof rails come with cross bars, or do you have to buy them separate?
