Winter Floor Mats

I was wondering what you guys are using for winter floor mats in your SS's?

Will just the regular old Walmart ones work, or are they too wide?

Mines a M5 so I have to make sure I have room for the pedals also.

I don't have an SS, but my LT with the 5-speed manual should be the same floor mat size. For the past 10 years, I have used Catch-All floor mats from Nifty Products on all my vehicles, including the HHR. They aren't cheap but they last a long time and I use them year round. We get a lot of snow and salt here in the BUffalo area, and they work well. Also, they fit very well and don't interfere with the pedals. They have anti-slide snaps that keep the mats from sliding around. I bought mine from Summit Racing. Here they are at the Nifty Products web site:

I mentioned the same thing here in this post.

The average size floor mats seemed to fit for me.

weathertech.com - 2008 Chevrolet HHR FloorLiner™ DigitalFit™ 1st Row - I just got it and the fit is great and will serve well during the upcoming winter.

I have added the rubber walmart $7 ones in the front and the $3 ones in the rear of all my HHRs including the manual SS. Absolutely no clutch, brake or gas pedal issues, They not only work great, but fit BETTER than the factory ones in both the front and rear. You have to be careful not to spill them when you remove them as they hold a bunch of snow, water slush. Price is right and they work. They come in Black, gray and tan...

Can we just skip Winter this year?
Isn't there global melt down or something?
No? Pooh!

I'll need something, at least in the Driver's side.

Cartch alls are the best thing going I have them in everything.

The only issue with the SS is they are not available in black yet. I just got some gray ones to protect the carpet in the winter.

In time they will off the correct color for the SS.

Huskyliners are great, I have them in all my cars, and the HHR is the best, tightest fit. They look custom moulded in, and come up the sides about 2 inches, so no problem spilling when dumping winter iceand water out, although if you just wait a few hours, you can take that frozen water/ice out in 1 piece.
