Question Winter Wheels + TPMS

I want to purchase new 16" steelies and snows from tirerack, does anyone know of any problems that may occure if I do not have the TPMS installed on the wheels I was thinking that the warning lite would stay on.

warning light comes on, message indicates 'service TPMS' and it beeps for a few seconds when you start the vehicle. Nothing else happens other then the email you get from onstar's monthly diagnostic report.

I just put The TPMS on my wheels and kept the system going. You can get the rubber stem monitors GM now uses that let youy replace the stem if needed.

click below. Put in your oem tire and rim, then your winter tire and rim in the next column. Use +42 offset. scroll down and read the specs. then try with the oem and my 215/60R/16s. speed etc.

I will have to see if I can find the part#. I will post it when I do. I saved it somewhere.

THe price I paid was cost since I had a connection. It was $31 each. Most places retail them for $49-55 dollars. Shop around and see if anyone will deal with you.
