Isn't the H3 a glorified Trailblazer?

I was suprised at how smooth the ride was in one (drove an 06 a couple years ago). Too bad they are done, would look nice in the driveway as opposed to a Montana SV6 (no offence). We will need a new car in the next 8 months as the Vibe lease is done and we will turn it in for something bigger. Just thinking for my wife- nice to have safety of 4x4 et al.
If you want one now is the time to get one. Just make sure to account in you savings for what you lose on trade value. I would look for a low mile used one as they are really cheap Even some low mileage H2 are a good buy right now.

It shares much with the Trailblazer and Colorado. It has many improvments over the others that make it a lot more intune for off roading vs a regular Trailblazer.

The H3 had a modified Trailblazer frame with a 5 cylinder and other parts shared with the Colorado.

As for the Saab 9-7 it was the best of the Chevy,GMC,Buick,Olds,Isuzu SUV's. The only issue was the price.

Re an H3, I won't have enough $$ for gas once energy stocks start getting manipulated again now that the economy is picking up. Save this post for Memorial Day 2010 and hope you're still driving your HHR. Who knows, it may increase in value a little once the public starts scrambling for fuel efficient vehicles again.

Just bumping up the tire size to a 33" all terrain killed my buddy's gas mileage. All the way down to about 10 in the city...

Definitely apples/oranges, as someone said.

If you want a capable 4X4, you can't go wrong with a Jeep for around the same price.
