I traded a leased 07 H3 in early to buy my SS. I drive 33,000 miles or so a year for work and my company pays for my gas. I was feeling a little guilty when the economy tanked a year and a half ago and decided I would buy the SS for something fun to drive on a daily basis and look for a beater truck for the 5 times a year I needed to tow something.

The H3 and an HHR are totally opposite vehicles. I loved my H3 and feel that it was the best vehicle I have ever owned. It was unstoppable in the snow. The H3's have a unique 4 wd system unlike any other GM SUV. I rescued my dead snowmobile by driving my H3 towing a 16' tandam axle trailer 5 miles down an unplowed seasonal road with 2' of snow on it. The road was a hilly winding trail cut thru the woods outside of Newberry, MI in the UP. Try that with a Traiblazer or Explorer. Yes it was not fast, but it would average 17 mpg which should match any 6 or 8 cyl 4 wd SUV on the market. I would like to buy another one some day. G.B.
