HHR SS Topics and information on the 2008-2010 Chevy HHR SS Turbocharged models.

Wow, some dealers are giving away the SS now to clear them out.

It's about the love for the vehicle, not the investment cause even a shelby is turning out to be a bad one.

As such it has been a long time since I traded in a car so resale has not affected me lately. I used to take a beating when I was trading in cars every 3-4 years.
I try to keep my cars for 10 years and usually get top dollar wen I sell them since I keep them up. I can't complain about my GM resale at all.

Now on MY GTP it may hurt it since GM dumped a lot of GP's on Enterpise and the market is flooded with a lot of GT's cheap.

Well Canada is a whole different ball game on several levels. You have to deal with many things here that are non issues for us.

That is it buy what you like as if it is not worth a dime you still have a car you love. Odds are most cars will never be worth much as too many people try to create collector cars anymore when it is natural supply and demand that really creates them randomly.

For the most Speculating collectors are killing the markets for those of us that just love cars.

I kept an 86 S-10 for 15 years, an 83 GMC van for 21 years, I still have my 02 Avalanche, and I plan on keeping the panel until the wheels fall off. The only vehicle I sold after a few years was my 99 Dakota R/T, but that was because it was jinxed. I paid 27 for my Panel SS, but I got it how I wanted, so I'm ok with the price.

I paid 25K cash for what I wanted, and intend to keep it as long as I can. I also have intentions of buying at least 2 more in the comming years (5sp SS, Panel SS)..... Great, my yard is gonna look like one of those guys that has half a dozen VW Bugs in various states of dis-repair cluttering up their drivway. hate it for the neighbors!

I had to order (and wait) my SS Panel built the way i wanted it. I'm hoping the fact that only 216 were made will help the resale value. I keep my vehicles for at least 10 years. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think thats the only way to justify buying a car new. I still have my old '97 Suzuki X90 for a winter car.

Funny you say that, I test drove a black '10 SS 5 speed with the performance pack. I loved it but I still like my turbo gauge better than the center console model. I would like to find a panel in the future as well, I used to be biased but the panel is definately growing on me.
