Yen-Yang

Hi to all. Been reading posts since August '08. Thanks for all the great info.

Just traded a white 07 panel for a black SS.

Got it yesterday. And I dont know what it is that I like about it but I like it alot!

Iam going to give it a wash and a wax today. SO... my big ? is.. Is it easy-no bad after effects- to pull the pinstripes off????

Has anyone else done it?
Will it mess up the paint underneath?

I noticed this morning that the tractor has moved closer to the HHR.

Welcome to the forum!

A little heat from a hair dryer, and then a little waxing after removal and it will look just like original before the stripe was installed.

Of course this only works for a stick on stripe, NOT PAINTED!

Some dealers add striping.......tape stripes, a real "gross-builder" for them, they pay $25 a car for it and charge as much as $189.95 to the customer. What a shame. At least they are easy to remove.

I had the pleasure of paying $95 for the single smoked pin stripe and it's already bubbling on me, that just adds to the list of things I need to dealer to check out. I don't really care if I have it or not though.

Ive taken pin stripes off 20 year old cars and theres no damage to the paint even then, its really easy.
