Hi to all. Been reading posts since August '08. Thanks for all the great info.
Just traded a white 07 panel for a black SS.
Got it yesterday. And I dont know what it is that I like about it but I like it alot!
Iam going to give it a wash and a wax today. SO... my big ? is.. Is it easy-no bad after effects- to pull the pinstripes off????
Has anyone else done it?
Will it mess up the paint underneath?
I noticed this morning that the tractor has moved closer to the HHR.

mine didnt come with pin strips. i would have removed them if mine did. i think if you get them off soon enough it should be ok but im not sure what to use for removing them. im sure someone here has done it and can help you out.
Welcome to the forum!
A little heat from a hair dryer, and then a little waxing after removal and it will look just like original before the stripe was installed.
Of course this only works for a stick on stripe, NOT PAINTED!

Some dealers add striping.......tape stripes, a real "gross-builder" for them, they pay $25 a car for it and charge as much as $189.95 to the customer. What a shame. At least they are easy to remove.
I had the pleasure of paying $95 for the single smoked pin stripe and it's already bubbling on me, that just adds to the list of things I need to dealer to check out. I don't really care if I have it or not though.
to the site!!! Be sure to check out the 2009 HHR Gatlinburg Get-2-gether.
