3rd Brake Light Mod Step by Step

I decided to personalize my HHR with a 3rd Brake Light modification. I went a different route than most of the others I've seen on here. So while I was doing this, I decided to take some pictures.

Before:

Remove the light cover by pulling extremely hard. There are 4 clips that hold the cover into place.

To remove the brake light assembly there are 2 bolts located on each side. 12mm

Light Assembly Removed with Chrome Lettering.

After:

So now my HHR is personalized.

Very nice, I wouldn't have thought of doing it that way; attaching what you want blocked ON the light.

Thanks. Yeah I actually ordered the lettering for something else but thought hey I haven't seen it done this way before. If I knew I was going to do this I would of ordered the larger letters. But I like it... for now!

I could swear that the brake light assembly had 7mm bolts but i might be wrong. Either way i love the way yours looks. This is how mine came out

Here's the how to someone asked for. I sent Staddy a pm to see if he could upload the pics into the gallery so we can fix the Red X problem.

I got my vinyl graphic for my 3rd brake light in the mail today (via ebay). I don't want to install it until it gets warmer out (14 degrees today) as I don't have a garage. Hopefully we can get the pics from this thread back before I do. I've never installed vinyl graphics.
