Thanks A couple of tips for those of you doing an overlay:
1. You don't have to completely remove the brake light assembly. Just remove the bolts and let it hang with the wiring still attached.
2. Be sure you know if your overlay is suppose to stick to the brake light or the window. Mine stuck to the window:

Finally installed mine today as it got a little warmer. Mine stuck to the brake light. I kind of wish it stuck to the window as it would have been easier to install. It was just slightly too big to go on the brake light, so mine overlaps a little bit. Kind of looked sloppy in the house, but once I got the light installed it looks great from the street. I'm happy. I got mine, custom text, on ebay for like $11.95 shipped from the seller sterlingdecals. Plus he said if I submit a picture of this one, he'll send me another one free. So kudos for that!

I got my "HHR" brake light cover today and installed it. Mine adhered to the window and the 2 bolts are 9/32 in size. Unfortunately I broke one of the tabs on the cover while pulling it off. Other than that, it looks great. I am waiting on my other little gizmo that will make the 3rd light blink 7 times and then stay on steady. It's about the size of a quarter and will fit perfectly behind the cover.
