Belt Tensioner on 2009 idk tip

Idk if it help anyone , I couldn’t get to the belt tensioner with any tool I had . So I took a 2x4 scrap piece of wood and a jack . And jacked the 2x4 up till the belt was loose to Remove The alternator and left it jacked up till I was done . Just slid the belt back onto the new alternator and let it down . I’m sure there’s way better ways to do it . But I’m 45 min to a part store and I had bigger **** to worry about like how the hell to get the alternator out from the engine bay . Thank yall . I used the forum and wedged it out

When I took my alternator out, I had to remove not only the hood support strut, but also the ball stud that the strut connects to. Yes it's a tight fit!
