My old Budy patch- I replaced it with clear plexi-glass and a silicone sealer.

I just bought a 2006 recently that must have been garaged, first rain today and the passenger floor was holding almost 16 oz of water. After wet vac I pulled the cowl, Had to laugh, the "water deflector" as it is described by Chevy wasn't even there. Just a big ol gaping hole!

What thickness plexi did you use? None of the local dealers has the patch in stock and I was thinking the same.

Plexi glass, sheet metal or just about any rigid, durable material should work.
Point being, to cover the hole and seal it up with a quality sealer.

Gotta love this place. Saving my butt since 2006.

I've had a little water in my floorboard, here and there recently. Fast Forward to Hurricane Patricia, which I found remnants of in my floorboard. I found the part #25785753 on Ebay for under $20 shipped.

Our (early) 2007 has the passenger side leak. No sunroof so I'm thinking it's that rubberish panel on the cowl. Anyway I'll be pulling it off in a few days to fix it.
We've had the usual ignition lock/shifter/power steering motor troubles with our little dude but we still like it. At 109K we've decided to take care of it and keep it around as a second car as long as it will last.

Talking

Got our leak fixed yesterday! Thank god now I can wash the nasty little rascal!!

I tried to be neater but that sealant has a mind of it's own. I can get that stuff all over me just by ordering it over the phone....

NECROBUMP. Anyway, it seems that Tropical Storm Hermine has caused Gregg to spring a leak again. I guess my butyl patch was inadequate; I left the glove compartment and door cover to the air filter open so while it pours all day I could feel the filter right away for wetness. I also suspect my sunroof drains are clogged again. Anywhere else I should look besides those two areas? Those are the two areas I addressed a bit over a year ago and it has seemed to be fine up until this morning.
