Sadly, no. The weak link is the plastic that pulls the lever to release the latch. The only way to do it right is to have the plastic lever replaced with something more durable, like less brittle plastic or metal.

I think this calls for some preventative maintenance. I'm going to remove all of my handles and epoxy them several times. Also FYI, the door panel costs GM dealers $204. So you can negotiate the price. It also would be a help if you used an epoxy that worked, the name would be very helpful for the rest of us.

Well...add me to the list. I need to fix my passenger side handle. The wife broke it.

Make her feel guilty if you like, but the truth is they brake themselves. (Otherwise I would feel guilty for breaking mine TWICE) :).

Yup, mine broke too. Looks like this is one of those design flaws like the back gate that dents if you close the gate.

Dorman part #80370 - right side
Dorman part #80369 - left side

$58.79 each.

Both at Rock Auto, does not say they are on back order.

I just noticed that too today... Not bad, much cheaper than the whole panel!

That's the way I would go if mine were broken. Here's a picture of one of the Dorman replacements.
