The housing. I could probably seal it back up, but by the time I cracked it I had spend close to twice as much time trying to get it apart as I did with the tyc lights. I'm sure it's possible to get them apart, but it might be worthwhile to try a different method.

Yes, they snap onto the lens. It's kind of hard to explain unless you have it sitting in front of you.

On the first page, the picture of the headlight taken apart, you can see them on the black housing (two on top, two on bottom, and one on the left).

The chrome piece has four feet that fit into slots on the housing (you can see one in the second picture). Each of the feet is screwed into the housing. On top of that sits the lens which has five things sticking out for the tabs to hook on to. It keeps it on tight while the sealant is drying.

So when you say you put them in the oven to kinda melt down the sealant, how did you put it in the oven? Like how did you position it or whhat did you put it on to do it?

Oven won't work with the stock lights. GM uses "Super Sealant"

with the TYC's put them lens up so they do not touch the rack

at 220 degrees the ABS was really soft and easy to puncture.

there are videos on You Tube showing the process on other makes

You don't think it's possible to get the stock headlights apart? Even with a slight temp. increase?
