I'm running the 15LED towers in amber as a direct replacement.

Nice write up! Did you also put the 3M film over these headlights? I ask only because they look so dark.

Great writeup - now need to get the lights!

I'm still trying to find someone to retrofit HID projectors into factory housings. Mike Ulrey, at www.BuyHIDs.com did the group-buy retrofit for Cobalt. He has not done an HHR. He vaguely says it will "cost more" than prices currently listed on his website, but hasn't given a quote for either me or him supplying stock assemblies. I encouraged him to join this website as a paid "supporting" vendor, but he says that the volume of interest here is too small. Does anyone else do this work?

A friend of mine does them for the Neon/SRT-4 crowd. She does really good work and can even do the LED's in the housings too. I know she's done them for other makes besides Dodge so her knowledge's not stuck to just one type of car or housing. I can get in touch with her if you'd like and see if she's willing to tackle our housings.

HID retrofit

I am not aware of a professional shop currently doing HHR retrofits. Anyone interested should find a ready, if small, market here. Of course, I thought that owners would jump at replicating the heated/signal/spotter mirrors after I did that through Muth (who also never paid to be a "supporting" vendor here). To my knowledge, I'm still the only one in the world who has them on an HHR. So, please let me know if anyone is willing to do an HHR headlight HID retrofit.

No I didn't and won't. That was a simple "tied me over" till I painted my headlights. Then I went this route because I simply didn't see having enough time in my schedule to have my car "down" for days on end for a headlight painting. Now I can pass along the benifit of not waiting.

Anyway, I agree, they do look dark. So much so, that they often still look tinted but aren't. I'm enjoying the 100% use of my HIDs once again.

Gas Man-

Great write up and Pics... I always remember to take pics, but it's usually not until after I am done.
