Sunroof quick fix (for those without warranty coverage)
Apparently you have to buy the bracket, drill out the rivets and then re-attach with new rivets.
posted #53 on 6-13-2012 I simply removed the wind screen by removing a couple of screws and purchased a stick on wind deflector from one of the advertisers on this site and it's worked perfectly since. wind deflector cost me about $40.
Update:
As of today my stick on wind deflector has been thru numerous car washes and is still holding up great. It didn't seem worth the expense to get the GM parts.

I need a friend or meet a good man that would help fix my hhr... my sunroof did exactly that shown above and also is leaking on my front passenger floor.. it has water droplets that come out of both panels between the front and rear passenger door & the part at the rear door too... it leaks between the piece of panels just below the seatbelts.. I have a roof rack so I dont know how if its that or the sunroof which I dont believe is happening from there... guess it will stay that way because I just dont think I could do it.
Thanks to the OP for the info and pics, I ordered the replacement clips for my sunroof, I prefer the cleaner look on the roof, so it is very helpful. Hopefully it will be reasonable for me to replace them myself.
i ordered my new bracket yesterday and picked it up today. i cant believe the holes are not in the new bracket and that you have to drill them yourself. i will do this next week when the weather will be nicer
