Bartered hhr

What started as a search for a running vehicle as an extra set of wheels for the family turned into a few circles around the car, and looking it up and down like a strip search at the county jail. It was far from what I had wanted but it was too good to pass up. The original asking price was well really whatever he could get out of it.
So for a toolbox full of money makers and some coins I had collected. I scored a nicely treesap patina'd 2011 hhr 4 door.

With the inside car show ready the journey begins.

P0017/P0016 means timing chain NOT CPS. Your new CPS will need calibrating with a computer, whether it codes or not.

P0016 isn’t a fun code either, perhaps you are considering replacing the timing chain anyway!

I guess it must run if you know that you need a new flex pipe.

The real thing. Moreover, you did not spend a lot of money.
Wash, replace the wheels, maybe timing. Fill in fresh liquids and go! The rear bumper can be refreshed simply from a spray can - if the opportunity arises, you can paint it according to normal sweat.
By the way, what's with the windshield? What's that round thing in the upper left corner? Suction cup or damage?
Don't forget to buy footpegs or your paint won't last long.
Good luck and welcome.

Yes it runs. Sounds like a Saturday night at the drag strip. The small flex pipe running from the head has been burnt thru. And that's exactly the way I looked at it. I have little to nothing in it, I've heard alot more positive than negative about the 2.2 ecotec. And no must be a truck of the light+ dirty windows, all glass is good only damage is a large scrape on rear bumper where kids seesaw'd a trailer into it.
