Talking Finally bought my dream ride - 2008 SS

Hey guys,

My name is Wes, I've been wanting an SS since they came out in 2008 and last week I was finally able to make it happen.

- Details -

I bought the car from Busam Subaru in Cincinnati, the car appears stock except for a missing boost gauge. It appears the previous owner may have removed it. 59k miles on it, interior is in flawless condition. It's an automatic which I was a bit disappointed in being a lifelong stick shift guy ... but I can deal. My two daughters love it and my wife is quite a fan as well. I wanted something that was fast, could haul the youngsters and got near as close to 30MPG as possible and the SS fits all the criteria.

Welcome! Sharp SS there. Always loved Red cars, hate to own one though. My foots got enough lead to fill the oceans all over the world. Don't need a bigger draw of attention for my fellow LEOs.

Are your brakes a bit rusty/dirty? I noticed on the rim closeup it looked like it.

I feel you on the lead foot, my first few days were spent chirping the tires frequently.

As for the brakes, I think so ... I haven't gotten in there yet to look. The dealer put new pads on but I think I'm going to just go ahead and replace everything soon. May be a good time to throw some red brembos on there.

Looks nice. Yeah. Brembos would be a nice performance and visual improvement.
