Introductions Welcome! Please take a moment to say hello.

Finally! I put a deposit on an HHR LT2. It may have an issue? Why didn't I ask here?

Thanks for the update.
Guessing that the dealer's advertising info was just inaccurate in regards to this vehicle.
Based on the 17" wheels you show I think that it's probably a 2LT like you stated in the 1st post.
If it has the FE3 code on the glovebox sticker, that would confirm it's got the 2LT package.

In fact the LS, 1LT, or 2LT would be on the RPO sticker in the glovebox.

I think somebody said in the WABAC that in order to get a 5 speed on a LT you had to get a LS package. The end result is that a 2LT with a 5 speed has a LS RPO, but a LT badge.

These new pictures really do help.

It now does look like it has the appearance chrome package except for the wheel covers. They look like the standard non Chrome Satin 2009-2011 LS and 1LT wheel covers used on the 16" tires.

A GM Dealer could do a print out of the "Build Data" for the OP if they wanted to ask for it. Just give them the Vin Number.
That could explain more then we know.....

It's still the Mystery HHR to me !!

You didn't notice the 17 on the sidewall of the tire? I believe that would indicate 17 inch aluminum alloy rims.

Blue,

Yes, I saw the 17 inch tires so that's a given but the 2008 2LT must have an alloy wheel that's not polished and looks just like the 2009-2011 Stock LS and 1LT plastic wheel covers. That thru me on the 16" tire issue.

Upon a closer look the give away is the "polished/chrome lug nuts".
The plastic wheel covers have a black plastic cover nut.

I still think a Build Sheet might be a good identifier as well as the RPO sheet on the glove box door.

Hmmm. Think I figured out the rims. They're the ultra-rare "2005" model HHR 17 inch rims. Chevrolet HHR 2005 17" Wheel Rim 5248
