HI, I have a 2011 HHR 2LT that I am slowly changing into a custom,Borla exhaust, SS spoiler, Cragar 17" mags ,IM going to black out the rear signals, the HHR is Granite gray metallic, with black leather interior .When I came home from hazardous duty in 1969 I bought a VW squareback 4speed with the bus motor and tranny. It was a 2 door hatchback that had foldown rear seats. My HHR reminds me of that vehicle although the HHR is lots more sporty and much quicker!!I would like to know if anyone has customized the front stock grille??I am looking at cutting the center bar out and welding in a section from a duplicate chrome LT grille minus the bowtie logo. If any body is out there that can answer this it would be deeply appreciated!!

Welcome DDMau, glad to hear you are already making your HHR your baby. Your mod list sounds awesome. Also, might I suggest as oppose to 'blacking out' your tail lights, you might go with some IPCW Bermuda Black LED tail lights. Those are the Bermuda Black on the back of Stiglitz (my hhr).

Off

Running

W/Reverse

Close Up

I have seen many varieties of HHR grilles before. Most people take and grind down the bowtie, and polish around or paint the entire grille. My thinking is, the grille sections are just a little bit different in size from bottom to top and angling is different from left to right as well.

Hey Lawdog thanks for the info on the Bermuda tail lights , the photo's really helped I will definitely check them out. When I figure out how to get pics into the forum I will add, You might check out American Racing 17" wheels ,they almost look like the old 5 spoke that the drag racers used to put on their cars ,these wheels were specifically made for the PT cruisers of the world, but they do come in the HHR bolt pattern, I have gotten tons of people checking them out on the HHR,they look great, and really fill the wheel well .unfortunately I haven't done LUMOSITY enough to remember the wheel name!!

You can click on the 'Camera' under your name in the post, and that will take you to your 'Gallery'. In there, there will be some options right above where you would see your images. One of those says 'Upload' click there, and add which photos you want (multiple at a time even!) and select if it's Your HHR, or OTHER for the upload destination, and click upload. Simple(right?) as that!
