Smile found by accident

i was looking for a soultion to a problem to my mrs hhr(sorry guys im a ford ranger guy), anyway my wife has loved these ever since she has seen them
she got 1 finally paid it off, then guess what? guy ran a stop sign & totalled it,she was ok,just all shook up thats all & very upset about her car the next day to the point of crying.
so a few days later we lucked up on another its a year newer & has a rebuilt engine which has been on the road maybe 20 minutes so its nearly new, as a rule i dont trust used car dealers to much been around too many of them , i dinnt except it to be perfect which it wasnt it had a few things wrong ,which ive fixed most of them which were minor ,so finding this place thought it might be a good idea to join here in case into something else its been helpful to me so far HHRs are a differnt animal to me so i thought id join up

Welcome.
Tell us a little info on your HHR such as year, model, engine etc. The members on this site are VERY knowledgeable when it comes to maintaining these little cars. If you have any questions, just ask away.

Welcome!!!!!
Here's a few sections of the forum that you may find extra handy as you get yourself more familiar with playing and maintaining the new ride:

Common part numbers list - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/comm...-thread-48833/

List of Common Problems/Questions and related links - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/prob...d-links-38985/

the popular How-To list - https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...al-library-21/

and of course, check out the super helpful list of links at the bottom of Donbrew's postings which includes links to Owners Manuals, info on posting pictures etc. - it is a great list to have handy

as far as the engine goes im really not sure, i havnt found out that 1 yet, be truthful about it i dont think its the same one thats supposed to go with it,this little dude compared to the other has defintly got some pep in its step for sure ,the other did too but not like this onethe only thing i can tell you about it, im assuming its a plain jane almost LS model the interior is all stock ,its missing a few things which i know where there is 2 of them in 1 junk yard & 3 in another so finding that stuff wont be too hard its got a black/sliver interior with a factory am-fm cd player which i think its got a blown channel no speaker sound comming from the rear & barely up front
it does have 2 codes that show up on the dash 1 svs tire monitor & service traction that one when going down the road will say as well service monitor off, then will jump back to svs tire monitor again as far as i can tell its running like its supposed to,no hard shifting or any of that stuff thats how i found this place those 2 codesother than that its a nice little ride
body wise on the back hatch you have those 2 arms that need replacing ,the lock wont lock on the hatch for some reason i kinda feel like its a relay or something like that, other than that body is in decnt shape no dents faded paint, ect which to me looks smoky grey
i will defintly will be back often as i say this is a differnt animal

Ahhh speaker issues - check them out a bit more, as speakers have been known to fail in the doors, leaving just the tweeters in the columns working. A few members have replaced the speakers in the doors with good success (there are several threads here on the replacement procedures).
