Thanks everyone. Im reading up on a few common concerns.
1/front end rattles - this seems to be a Delta platform issue and Ive not found one single item correction that actually nails the concern consistantly!
2/ recurring rotor warpage- having worked in a shop that maintained police cruisers, I opted for cross drilled rotors and carefull lug torque on mine. I adjusted up the rear some but im not sure how much they will take on this car yet, may can go a lil more before lock issues or heat. This car does seem to have an ill proportioned proportioning valve from what I gather.
3/Perma-sealed auto trans, how long will they go unmaintained? I hear a very very faint turbne spooling sound with fat lady wearing cordaroys undertones... but seems to operate ok.
4/ Sunroof windguard that self destructs and GM never really re-engineered it! Im doing the do away with the xtra parts mod and using a visor to deflect the pressure.

Next thing to search is how to troubleshoot heated seats
Im digging the off topic stuff here y'all so hop you dont mind a newbie jumping right in at the lounge

...ok its been eight years and I don't recall ever seeing a HHR SS in person. I really can't say for sure I ever heard of one till this month!!
Ive traveled up the east coast and all across Fla. In tbe last 4 yrs so it ain't like I never get out of Augusta.
..ok I bumped my newbie thread inadvertently but I was browsing the track times and SS threads an
Must comment
maybe the ss never caught my attention because of all the sport model labels were never much more than graphics and body kit or maybe rear sway bar "performance package" but hey...12-15 second quarter mile runs almost out of the box 4 banger is indeed significant.
It surprises me that this heritage high roof vintage marketing design was and still is a hit, went for the muscle car look. It strkes me as ridiculous at first, a 40's Suburban with oem spoilers and such, kinda spoils (hah) the effect...they are undeniably cool though now that Im educated

And Im defensive now if somebody refers to my HHR as pt cruiser, and its funny I can sometimes count up to five pt at ant givrn major intersction or parking lot at one time but not so much the Chevys...resale market was a few notches up for 2-3 yr old hhr vs pt's as well.

The black grille of the SS is usually what tells me it is a SS as I pass one.
Haven't seen but 4 or 5 in my local area. Only black and red ones.

Yeah it's an LT , leather, fogs, premium sound, 17" wheels, 2.4 engine. Paid 4k for it, actually 3500 and a pos cherokee I gave 500 for.
Honda is an 86, 86-89 accords look pretty close alike.
It was a 600$ car I bought after Katrina, had the most ridiculously complicatd set up comp controled carb Ive ever run across. Ive done about every mod I would do to a air cooled vw bug so it's an old school type project not a tuner. It has 38 Weber carb on it now but I have dual Weber 40 dcoe set up coming soon.. I have a stupid amount of money in it but it could be worse, I buy most of the stuff from other peoples abandoned projects.
