Hello. 2008 HHR Here.

Hello. Second owner household (here). The car is a 2008 HHR 1LT with no ABS, 2.2, auto, and black in color. Had the car since the end of 2008 I believe. Bought it with 20k miles (prior rental in Ohio) and now sitting at almost 234k miles (mostly highway) with some issues that hopefully, can be resolved without breaking the bank and sadly it's getting fairly rusty here in the Rust Belt. Hopefully, it make it to at least 250k miles but, here's to hoping it gets to 240k miles first. Thank you for this forum.

Welcome!

I once owned a car virtually identical to yours, except color. Also bought as a new former rental, in Ohio!

Does yours have remote start?

Welcome to the site! These little trucklets are fairly easy to work on, 500,000 plus miles isn’t unheard of.
if she doesn’t find you handsome, you better be handy!

Hello. That's good to know about the mileage. I think the rust and other things will probably kill this one before that. I'd be happy to get 240k if not 250k miles. Right now at almost 234k miles.

It is fairly easy to add remote start to a 2008, https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/how-...ion-ap3-28551/ . You don't even need a different fob; panic+Lock = remote start.

That’s why is asked. Can confirm. I did it. Dealer said it wasn’t possible. Years later, learned how in these forums. Ridiculously easy, really. I didn’t add an interlock switch at the hood latch, just used a Sharpie to write a warning there instead.
