Hello all......
Hello all......
I've been an on-line member of Focus Fanatics since 2004, owning a 2003 Focus ZTW wagon. On October 27th, I rolled it over into a snowbank and it was totalled by my insurance company. (Wife and I were unhurt)
After looking at everything from a Isuzu Axiom to a Mercury Monterey minivan, to a Pontiac Torrent, I am now the proud owner of a 2006 HHR 2LT. It's the dark silver color (what's that called?). Has all the usual 2LT equipment, running boards, no rack bars, and it had a low 30,600 miles when I bought it. Paid a bit more than I was planning, but was also expecting to get something with double that mileage. I REALLY wanted one in Sunburst Orange (test-drove one, but it had 128k...) Then saw one listed on Auto Trader, but it was 320 miles away in Nampa, Idaho. I was ready to make the drive, but the salesman said they had a deal pending on it.....
So - I didn't get the color I wanted, but everything else is nice. Wifey really likes the heated seats!!!
I'm 59 years young, living in Springfield, Oregon. Moved here last year after 58 years in Southern California. I run a auto damage appraisal business. Been doing this for 30+ years, so if anyone has any questions on collision damage, insurance claims issues, I can probably help. I also have a collision parts database, so I can look up parts numbers, list prices as well.
Looking forward to making some friends and just general fal-der-rawl.....

Greetings and welcome!! Hope you enjoy things here, lots of good folks and good information too. FYI your color is called Dark Silver Metallic, a nice shade for the HHR. Your collision parts database should be a welcome addition to the resources that make this forum so good.
Thanks for the welcomes...
843de- Nice collection of Corvairs you have there.
Back in 1970, my third car was a '66 turbocharged Corsa - yellow HT.
Wish I still had that baby.........
