hello from guelph

hello. first off, i have to thank all the tech contributors, you guys rock, and without y'all, i'd be 10 x the hours into issues i've come across.

my name is Jeff, I am 38 years old, and i am part owner of a family electrical contracting business. we have been using astro and safari cargos for 12 years. 2 years ago we needed a quick and cheap replacement to keep our service division up and running. i came across an HHR panel, contractor outfit, for 4 grand, with 170 000 kms on it. needed some cosmetics. so i bought it, and not 2 years later, we now have 3. we love them. the money we save on fuel alone is incredible. plus, our techs are forced to not carry around so much stock, which brings the fuel and maintenance costs down.

my wife is a graphic designer and has drawn up some cool logos for them, utilizing the side panels.

picked up my 3rd yesterday. 2008 panel with contractor outfit. did the purple wire grounding to it, and our 198000 km 08, and voila, we have remote start.

anyhow, this is who i am. hopefully i can contribute to this site with repairs i perform, or things i find.
cheers

jeff moore

to the forum Jeff, these critters do multiply like bunnies, but you've already found that out I see.

Welcome!

I had an 91 Astro ext growing up. It was an awesome van, rebuilt motor at 150,000, had over 200,000 when my mom traded it in in 2006 for a 06 Trailblazer. big mistake, as the Trailblazer has been nothing but trouble, and might be the worst vehicle GM has made recently....any how welcome!
