Hello from Michigan
Hi,
I just bought a brand new 2010 HHR SS last week. I have wanted a new car for some time and I began test driving cars a couple weeks ago. My requirements for a new car were better mpg than my Ranger (16 mpg), run at least 14's, have some decent cargo room, a performance suspension, and easily modified. I also wanted an auto as my second job: delivering pizza's in the snow, really sucks with a stick. I really had my sights set on a Grand Prix GXP but used car dealerships won't give you jack for your trade in. I also was interested in the Camaro. So after looking around and test driving a dozen cars, I finally test drove the SS and to say I was impressed was an understatement. Decent get up and go, great mpg, and tight suspension. Looking at the final price was a shock though at 29,000. However, GM was offering a 4,000 incentive on all HHR's including the SS. Plus, I got another 1,000 for the employee discount and another 1,000 for the Firebird I own. Anyways, Fully loaded and cheaper to buy and insure than the base LS Camaro. So, I bought it and have driven around 300 miles and this vehicle gets more looks than any base Camaro would ever get. I do plan on doing the Turbo Upgrade after I have 500 miles on her. So far, this car has surpassed my expectations of an HHR and this is coming from a V8 RWD kinda of guy. The torque steer was something I had never experenced before this.

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I am always down to hang out with other car enthusists. In fact, I'm going to the Michigan F-Body event on the 5th and will be the only one with an HHR there. That is intill I finish my Firebird!!!!
Thanks again,
Dave
