Hello from the U.K!

Hi guys,

I picked up my 2007 HHR a few weeks ago it's a standard model I think that's described as a LS? It's fitted with Eibach springs, American Racing 18” Wheels and a Borla exhaust system. From what I can establish from carfax it originates from California.

I believe it's only 1 of 3 here in the U.K. So quite a unsual thing to be cruising around in, plenty of people turning their heads! This forum's been really useful so far, especially when no body knows anything about them here!

I've seen some of you guys with running boards, is that standard on the better models? Anybody know if I could get some shipped here to the U.K fairly cheap?

Heres a couple of pictures-

Sorry about the quality I stole them of the original ebay ad as I dont have any to hand at work!

Sweet lookin' ride!

The running boards have only become standard items starting w/ the 2008 2LT here in the states, but I believe are suppose to be standard on all models in Canada.

I didn't know they could squeeze EU plates down to US size.

How does it feel to drive a left hand drive in the U.K?

Welcome to the site!!! I bet driving that is fun, but is it tricky with the steering wheel on the left?

As far as running boards, I suggest you get them. It really cuts down on the stone chips you get on the rear doors!

Thanks for the welcome! It's not too bad being on left really, just a pain in the ass over taking and on roundabouts (you don't have those in the states though do you?) I had a Silverado step side before this so it's pretty natural now. Had to get rid of my truck just way to wide for country lanes here, now that was tricky!

If I sourced a set of running boards? How do they fit? Are they hard to install? I guess I should really just use the search tool on the forum!
