Helloooo Judes and Dudes!
Thanks to everyone and my cram reading this forum over the past 24h, I felt brave enough to do it! I read horror story reviews elsewhere and was worried but looked for an enthusiast site to get the lowdown on the HHR and here I am.
Got the vin during yesterday's test drive, did several vin checks including talking to the last dealer service dept it was serviced at, and was told this baby was was routinely serviced.
Driving her home ~38 miles gave me the impression that she was well made and kept up. Of course there was the common mystery (to some dealers) front suspension clunk that I'm guessing that it *hopefully* might just be sway bar links (coming from just in front of, under the floorboard and sides). I sure appreciate all the factual and helpful information that members have posted from their collective countless hours figuring out on their own dime, and the atmosphere of this forum, THANK YOU!!
I had a couple decades of european automotive experience but had to switch trades after back injuries and most everything I've read here appears to be top level sleuthing that only enthusiasts will make time to do.
