Hey from PA!

I just found this forum and am hoping to learn lots from you all.

I have a 2006 HHR and last evening the power steering indicator came
up on the message screen. I learned that there is no power steering pump
like other cars that I have owned. I read something on here about how to fix the steering motor, but not sure if it is that for sure. Is there a way to check
and see for sure that it is that for sure. The reason I ask is that later that evening my husband went out to check it out and the message was gone
and the steering run just fine. We are taking a trip this weekend and really
don't want to get stuck somewhere. Does anyone have any input.

Thanks!

to the forum!

Here's one thread on replacing the motor, they can either poop out all at once or become intermittent on you.

Also try out our Search function, it's Google linked and super fast.
