Hey! From RI!

Purchased a 2006 HHR LS with existing mods. Previous owner mustve really loved this HHR. Custom two tone chameleon? & black with SS front bumper.. Also has neuspeed springs, cross drilled rotors in the front, as well as an cai and an aftermarket exhaust. Nice kenwood NAV/DVD deck too! I changed out the grill and added some blacked out headlights. I picked this up for work (promo vehicle) and will probably add some decals soon to tie it in with my pizza shop. Love this site so far, plenty of helpful tips and info...heres a pic!

Did I order the wrong grill? is there a size/fitment issue between ls/lt and ss?

to the forum!

And yes there is a substantial difference between the SS grille and the ones found on the LS/LT. The SS has a different front fascia and bumper cover.

The SS grill is longer on the bottom to fill in the "dip" of the SS bumper cover.

Getting the correct SS grill can be a little tricky depending on where you order from.

One. It's a color match thing because of the painted outer shell.
Two. The SS grill is a multi-part piece. Meaning, if ordering , (like from Gmpartsdirect) their diagram will show multiple pieces needed to make a complete SS grill set. Make sure to order the set if available that way or at least all the individual pieces.

Not sure where you'll try to get a grill from, but just thought this info would help.

And, out of curiosity, what do you have in the lower bumper grill opening? On the SS's, its a matching black honeycomb style to the upper grill.
I couldn't tell what you had from your photo.
