Welcome!

I'm buying tires this weekend. Would love Goodyear Eagle GT's but 215/50R17's have been discontinued. I'm leaning towards BF Goodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S Plus. A smooth quiet ride is not one of my priorities.

I went ahead and ordered a full set of custom Weathertech floor mats and a cargo mat. Got a steering wheel cover. I need a sunshade that fits ... no easy feat. I’m leaving toward a Coverking, they have good reviews. I’d like to get some neoprene seat covers.

the interior of this car is almost perfect, and id like to keep it that way ... this the mats, covers, etc..

As always, ideas are welcome !

also checking out chrome accents for the wheel wells, lights (head/tail/signals/etc), that sort of thing. CarID seems to have a good selection.

fun with new cars :)

Coverking is what I use in mine.
Fits pretty darn good.

Changed the engine air filter, cabin air filter, it had an oil change just before I got it, and I went ahead and took out the factory plugs (w/26,000 miles on them) And put in a set of Bosch Iridium plugs.

The HHR should be set for a little bit.

next oil change it goes all synthetic, pretty sure the former owner just did a regular old oil change.

Take out the Bosch and install AC Delco 41-403 iridium plugs , I had problems with the Bosch plugs with in 8,000 miles .

I’ll keep a watch and if they get weird I’ll pull them. I’ve always had good luck with Bosch though... but I’ve never installed the iridium.

thanks for the heads up..... it’ll give me something to look for if the HHR starts running “off”

Nothing wrong with the Bosch brand. It's just that the Ecotec engines in the HHR are finicky about what plugs you use. They seem to perform best with the original AC Delco plugs.

thanks... definitely good to know. I’m gonna use this set for a while because money is super tight (I just went through chemo and radiation therapy, so big medical bills)..... I wish I’d known before hand. But it’s easy enough to replace them on these ecotec engines, so I’ll plan on it down the road a bit. :)
