Long Time Chevy Owner, 2009 HHR LT2
Hey y'all!
We've owned a bunch of cars in 43 years of driving. Most have been Chevys. Except for two Ford Mustangs, the other non-Chevy's have been GM: Pontiac, Saturn, and GMC.
In the summer of 2009, I was looking to downsize from my "work release van", a 1999 GMC Savanah 3500 15 passenger van and double my gas mileage.
It has been a long while since styling influenced my car purchase. We've owned vans since 1984 (1984 Chevy G10 Sportvan, 1984-1999, 233K miles; 1999-2009 GMC Savanah 3500, 100K miles) to take our dogs to compete in dog shows and obedience competion. Practicality was our primary consideration for cargo capacity.
In July 2009, we bought our Imperial Blue HHR LT2.
I like the looks of the HHR and practicality weighed in with the purchase of the HHR with cargo capacity and gas mileage.
It's a fun car to drive. The remote start is great for winter and summer to defrost or cool down. The butt warmers are also great. XM Radio with the Pioneer 7 speaker is awesome.

Welcome to the family RalphHighTower! Glad to have you here. Post some pictures soon so we can see your baby!
Also, if you like the site, it would be cool if you could help support it and keep it alive. $10 Premium membership for a year, and you get a bunch of goodies, including a "Chevyhhr.net" decal to put on your vehicle and other perks on the site.

Yes, I agree, the butt warmers are a nice option, you know it's cold when ya have to kick those on. Here lately seems like every day, I'm really tired of winter already. Now we're getting hit again tonight, 1-2 inches of ICE then snow on top. I moved to Indiana from northern Michigan to get a break on winters. Time to go a couple more states south I guess.
Enjoy this web site, lots of info on here.
