Love My HHR...Not sure if I love my local GM dealers

Took my 2009 HHR to a GMC dealership (as I so detest the Chevy dealer in the city next to me) and they socked me 95.00 for diagnostics on an issue I think is covered on the 5 yr/100k warranty. ChevyGuy on this site is an absolute FOUNT of knowledge. I've called Chevy and they're gonna trace back stuff with the GMC dealership and get things squared. (I hope I so don't have 600.00 to fix this)

Welcome! What's the mileage on your wonderful car? If it's beyond 36,000 miles, then the 12 months bumper to bumper you MAY have gotten with it, would only be good at the dealership you got it at, assuming it was a GM Certified HHR.

When you get a chance please do elaborate on your issue, someone here has more than likely dealt with the same thing and we put our collective minds to work on your problem.

Thank goodness for Chevy customer service. Thanks to ChevyMgr's info I AM getting a refund and the repair done under the 5 year/100k warranty TOMORROW!!!! The dealership I went to had a newbie in the ranks. He's been educated (I was nice about it all) My 2009 HHR is named "Herbie"....Don't ask......Herbie used to be a 2005 Ford Taurus.

Thanks to ChevyMgr's 411 and a call to Chevy customer service. The GMC dealership is refunding the diagnostics AND doing the repair. The issue is a Right Front Wheel Bearing going out. There was a newbie in the ranks that did not recall that Wheel Bearings ARE covered on the 2009 HHR but not on the 2010 HHR forward. Its ALL Good!
