My new HHR SS

This place is a great place for information, I've been lurking for a while, here's my introduction, and more importantly, the car.

2009 SS Red w/ ebony/grey interior, only 12k miles. (i'll put up a picture just as soon as I figure out how)
Found it up in Enumclaw WA, so took the train up there from Oregon to go get it.

This is my first automatic car! (no manual SS in the Northwest when I was looking)

Pretty happy so far, chose the HHR for the upright seats (bad back), and the SS for the handling and the get-up-and-go (in that order!).

The only complaints I have are slowly being wittled away:
- stock speakers and road noise: New Hertz component speakers and dynamat in the door panels is stage 1 (complete! so much better). Amp and dynamat in the footwells will be stage 2 (someday)
- rattles. I'm using the last few months of my warranty with many visits to the local Chevy guys (Carr in Beaverton Oregon - great service so far!). 1st major rattle gone. One more to go.
- floormats. I hate seeing the poor pretty carpet mats get dirty, so new Husky mats installed.

Future projects:
- iphone holder (At this point probably a panavise bracket with a proclip pass-through holder)
- receiver hitch for draftmaster bike rack (we ride a tandem bike)
(Have to cut a notch in that pretty SS skirt in the back. bummer)
- rear sway bar (if it doesn't interfere with the hitch) to make cornering feel more like our previous car (audi a4)
- attempt to find less jarring tires

Phew, thanks for reading. This forum is packed with info, I look forward to learning more.

Welcome to the family, there was a nice one at Jet and Auburn Chevy too. I have had five different tires on mine these are the smoothest by far. Don't fool around if you want Audi cornering get the Powell bar. Stop by when you are up here we'll go for a spin you can try it out.

Welcome Paul, I flew to N Cal to buy my 5 spd, I haven't seen another SS in the Portland area so I'll keep an eye out for you, Red would have been my first color choice.

See if this works for an image as a non premium member... The FAQ could use a note in the "how to post attachments/images" to warn non-premium members that the instructions don't apply to them...
