New to the boards...

Hello all,

My wife recently purchased a used 2010 HHR and were slowing finding all the interresting issues that most people have shared on these boards. She wanted me to let you all know that she loves her car... lol

I just re-soldered the AUX pins on her radio from the information found on these forums and it works perfectly, (Thanks guys!), and am now planing on adding the radio buttons to her steering wheel, (Thanks Jaysz2893), among other things.

I'm no stranger to the search button so i dont see myself asking too many questions.

A bit about me:
I graduated from ATI with a degree in Automotive service. While I had worked on cars before attending school, most of what i had done was aftermarket upgrades (clutch installs, intake, headers, exhaust, turbo kit, ect).

After graduating i worked for Goodyear for about a year and a half as a service tech, then went to a Honda dealership for about 6mos. I have since then left the automotive industry and went back to banking.

While I have a few ASE, my time as a technician was short so there at tons of things i still have to research and look up. Needless to say I've always been a big DIY fan.

I look forward to posting on the boards with info, and researching fixes and upgrades.

Thank you,

DC

Welcome to the site.

I turned wrenches for a living many years ago. These new fangled cars can make you scratch your head sometimes.
This site is full of great info and the members here are always willing to help out. You've come to the right place!

thanks guys. its good to be here.

i worked at a bank/credit union for about 7yrs before autos... ended up going back to banking cause i had to relocate and it was the first job interview that called me back. aside from that, i learned i like working on cars more as a hobbie than for a living.

firemangeorge- i hear ya. the newer the cars get, the more electronics you gotta work with. i figure theyre trying to make it so that you HAVE to take it to a shop to get it worked.

oh well... guess its the nature of the beast
