New dude!
Hey folks! Just picked up a 2010 2LT, with the intent to use it as both a personal car and RideShare vehicle. I have to say I was a little freaked out by the diminished forward visibility thing, but I will adapt! Anyhoo, will be posting and I look forward to getting into the community.

Welcome to the forum, what diminished forward visibility are you talking about?
I'm 6'1" and from the drivers seat I barely see the front hood, its not like driving my '59 Ford Fairlane. I think they could have landed aircraft on that hood.

Welcome to the forum and geez way to make a guy feel short lol. 
I topped out at 5'9" but I never had any issues seeing out of the HHR when I had mine. Granted the windshield is smaller than on most other vehicles, but like you and Oldblue said you'll adapt to it.
