Cool New to forum not to HHR

I did it. I traded in my orange HHR 2LT for a shiny black 2008 HHR SS. I will miss my orange one a little but wow, the SS is what I've been wanting since I found out they could be had. I got the clearance from the wife on my old HHR because I got an automatic. I just can't get her to learn manual. Needless to say, the new HHR is an awfulmatic as well, (no offence to other auto owners) so the trade was on. Here are my impressions:

The old HHR was punchy with its 2.4L. It howled pretty good when I got on it. The HHR SS is so quiet by comparison. It is like magic. I press the pedal and suddenly I'm going 80 with no noise or fury. I like that the SS has the window controls on the door. The '06 had them in the center like my old '83 Thunderbird from long ago. I now have more airbags, a sunroof, black racing style seats, and, of course, a pillar-mount boost gauge. The little issues that I need to take care of are a crack in the lower grill mesh, a sticky drivers' door lock, and the difference in HP between the auto and the manual. When I got the car, the battery died the very next day. With a sticky lock mechanism and not being able to open the liftgate to get at the battery, I had a worried moment there. I did get the door unlocked. The dealer gave me a new battery for free. I have HPTuners on the way to me and I hope to upgrade to a ram air intake. I do see other drivers giving my SS some strange looks, especially sports car drivers getting on the freeway behind me. I guess it needs no debadging to be a sleeper around here.
All I have yet are cell phone pictures. Let's see if I can successfully post them on my first post ever.
