Talking

"To echo the good Doctor, always great to have another member from Carolina on board. "

This area of Forsyth/Guilford counties is CRAWLING with HHR's !! In every color! If all of them were aware of this site we'd have our own HHR Chapter within NC!

We have the same deal here in Cabarrus/Mecklenburg counties, on the average day I can count on seeing 14-16 of the critters scurrying about...and I'm not counting my three(just know someone will accuse me of cheating).

So which dealer did you get your HHR from if I can ask?

I'd really like to get together a formal meeting of Carolina members next spring for the Auto Fair at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

I'll do the legwork if there is any interest.

Crikey! I'm guessing some of those 14-16 are regular repeats! I like pulling up to a light next to a PT. The HHR sits quite a bit higher. I like that

I got it from Parks Chevrolet here in Kernersville, but was actually sitting on their Charlotte lot. It was exactly what I was looking for. White and Chrome are my two favorite colors! Then there were the running boards and fog lamps...and the sunroof and heated leather seats!
And,it will haul all of my music gear and keep it dry.

I've been in car clubs. Buick GS/GN,Turbo Regal,Olds Aurora being the most recent. They're great. The key is would there be enough interest to justify the "legwork"? Might be time to test the waters?

Yeah there are a few are regulars like the panel that Advance Auto Parts has, the local bail bonds company has a panel they park by city hall or the jail, one of our members works on a street I use frequently so I see that particular HHR about five times a week(talking about you reelhhr09).

Then we have the Blue Flash LT that works at the DMV license center, a red LS that belongs to a clerk at the Food Lion, the AA5 partial panel that the local Miller Beer distributor uses, the State Farm agent in Concord has a red LT wrapped in a graphic for his agency, someone over in Landis has a two toned SS, and the tool dealer on Cannon Blvd. uses a white AA5 partial panel for deliveries.

So those are 8-9 that I see a few times a week in my travels, then there are the ones I spot in traffic like the white LS with the color matched SS rims. There seems to be a herd of them down here.

Parks is a good outfit to deal with, just couldn't come together on price when I ordered up my 2011 so Mynatt's got the sale.

I'm all for testing the waters for a Carolina get together, if y'all are interested out there just say "hey" and we can make something happen.

Thumbs up

Maybe a "Shout Out" thread would get more attention,ya think? Hopefully most members will have the auto email enabled!

Has anyone ever proposed going national with this official club/chapter idea?

There are 2 HHR's that frequent the diner I go to. One of them works there.
You know how it is,ya never really take notice until you own one yourself!

I'm open to any suggestions about getting a Carolina meet set up, I'm picking up some ideas from the gang at SoCalHHR's. It doesn't have to be in Charlotte, Raleigh would work, up your way in High Point would be cool too.

Maybe a Shout Out thread is in order, but I'm thinking a group e-mail or mass PM thing would ruffle the feathers of the "powers that be".

Yeah once I bought the first HHR is seemed that everywhere I turned there was another one, and another one, and....well you get the idea.

One of our members had to dump her SS due to its being an utter lemon and now she's running a Scion X-something(its the square one), and now I'm noticing them everywhere too...funny how the mind works.

Well now you've been "bookended" officially, its been said that when Sam(SS fan)and I throw out the welcome mat...the new member has been bookended. East coast and West coast don't ya know.

" Well now you've been "bookended" officially, "

Uhhh...yeah...ok... but it wouldn't sound quite as weird if it was coming from SS "Samantha" and 843 "Denise"....!!!! I don't care who ya are that was funny right there!

"I'm thinking a group e-mail or mass PM thing would ruffle the feathers of the "powers that be".
Hmmm...and why would that be?

"now she's running a Scion X-something(its the square one), and now I'm noticing them everywhere too..."

Reminds me of how difficult it has been trying to determine whether or not it's a Harley approaching me vs. whether or not to acknowledge them. Too often by the time I'm able to identify the bike...they've passed. Sure hate to dis a bro like that by not returning a salute but then maybe they're wondering the same about MY bike!
