Hi there everyone!
My name is Jackie. I'm a 53 year old boilermaker from Kentucky.
I don't have an HHR yet, but it's definitely in the plans.
I've been going to street rod shows, and am really digging the "Rat Rod" look. They're impractical as daily drivers, so I've been thinking (hard) about getting an HHR Panel and fixing it like a rat rod.
I'm leaning towards a satin black paint job (maybe with a distressed fade around edges) with red steel wheels and baby moons. Will have some old school red and white pinstripe on the panel sides and MAYBE white wall tires.
I'm still in the absolute beginner stage on these cool little vehicles, so I mostly expect to sit back and shut up (and learn from you guys).

Welcome from sunny SoCal.
I've only seen a handful of fixed up HHR's when I have visited Louisville (in-law's live outside of Owensboro) -- I know one of the guys on here (Ft. Knox area I think) has/had a gorgeous silver with green flames and baby moons.
There is still a small possibility I may move out there, would be great if there were other fixed-up HHR's around!

I was browsing through the "Official Panel HHR Post (Pics Only)" thread last night and found krabriter's post:
That picture is close enough to what I'm shooting for that I can kinda squint and see it in flat black with pinstripes.
