New Guy ,Tks for the info but still ?

Just wanted to say Hi and thanks for all the info. I was able to find searching this Forum .
I had no knowledge of the HHR until I came here but always liked the design and thought it would look great with some Ghost flames .
My searches have answered most of my questions but left me with some others.
Right now it looks like my best choice is to buy a used 2008 -2010 LT,I have found 2 that look interesting but they both have 40-45k miles and the 2010 is a prior rental ( about 90 % of the used HHR in my area are prior rentals) .
Both are certified so I get a 1 year warranty.
My Question is :
Have some of the common problems that were in the earlier years ( Warped brake rotors , strut's failing ) been addressed and not found in the 2010 ?
Both cars I looked at have the 2.2L engine and that is OK with me.
Thanks Bill

Welcome to the forum........ From what I've read very little difference across the years as far as brakes/struts/etc..... they all call for the same parts (SS not necessarily, I'm talking LS or LT)

Just got a 2010 HHR LT and it was a rental with 34k on it, I've had it a week so far so good. Rental have good maintenance for the most part. Mine still has the 100k drivetrain warranty that can be all bad.

My personal experience says avoid former rentals. Mine is a 2008 "Certified" turned out to have had major front end collision damage. I just came to the realization that (from 160K experience) that the rotor warp problems come from the rear brakes not being adjusted correctly. "self-adjusting" drum brakes are not really!
